Product overview
A Roots air blower is a positive-displacement machine. Two meshing, lobe-shaped rotors turn in opposite directions, trapping air at the inlet and pushing it out at the discharge. Every turn moves the same volume, so the airflow stays steady even when the back-pressure changes.
In ETP, STP and WTP plants it feeds the diffuser grid at the bottom of the aeration tank, keeping enough dissolved oxygen in the water for bacteria to break down the organic load.
Don’t confuse it with
A Roots blower is not a turbo blower. It moves fixed pockets of air without compressing them inside the casing, while a turbo blower compresses air dynamically with a high-speed impeller.
